  • Claim submissions: your name, business email address, and any information you submit when claiming or editing a listing.
  • Reviews and content: any text, photos, or other content you submit to the Site.
  • Contact inquiries: information you send us via email or contact forms.

Information collected automatically

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and local storage: session tokens and preferences stored in your browser.
  • Usage data: search queries entered on the Site (not linked to your identity unless you are signed in).

Information from third parties

Business listing data is sourced from publicly available directories and databases. We do not purchase or receive personal consumer data from data brokers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its features.
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
  • Process and verify business listing claims.
  • Send transactional emails (claim confirmations, magic-link sign-ins) via Resend.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Analyze aggregate usage trends to improve the Site (no individual profiling).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

3. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your preferences. These are strictly necessary for the Site to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, but doing so may prevent you from signing in or accessing authenticated features.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following sub-processors to operate the Site. Each is subject to its own privacy policy:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and storage (US/EU regions).
  • Vercel — hosting and edge network.
  • Mapbox — map rendering on listing pages.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.

We share only the minimum data necessary with each provider and do not authorize them to use your information for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

Claimed listing edits and submitted reviews may be retained in an anonymized form for directory integrity even after account deletion.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format).

7. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected, the right to delete that information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed session tokens, and role-based access controls in our database. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top when we do. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the Site. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
